That is hard to say, but I guess you have the same personality even though you never knew him.

Roy, you inherited half your physical characteristics from your father. This includes your body type, your mental capacity, probably your athletic ability, coordination and so forth. That doesn't mean that if dad was a baseball star you will be too...it does mean that many of your physical characteristics, including athletic skills and academic skills MAY be similar to your father. There is a theory that your internal wiring is similar to his, similar to the way two computers might work the same way. There are also theories that not just physical features are passed down the generations but also personality and emotional traits. Usually we tend to copy our personalities after our parents..at least up to the age when we can begin forming ourselves (around 7-10). The question is fascinating and probably worth a lot of serious study.

It is genetic. Have you heard about someone who received a heart from a man who died in an accident? When this person recovered from the heart transplant, he started to have the same taste in food and music that the heart donor had. Imagine that?
So you being a part of your father, will certainly carry some of his behavior, sickness, or taste. I don't see anything strange about it; the apple never falls too far from its tree.
Never mind what other people think; do you feel you're lucky to have the same trait as your dad? God bless!

It's possible that for whatever reason you turned out a lot like your father even though you never met him.
It's also true that you can often find similarities or meanings in things best when you're searching for them. If people are looking for things that prove you are your father's son, then those similarities will be what stands out to them, and they will probably ignore the differences.

You are not your father - you are yourself. People make these ridiculous comparisons between children and parents all the time and there is nothing that proves these statements.
Remember, you are unique and your path is different from your father.

There are some things that are inherited. Your walk and how you carry yourself can remind other people of how your Dad acted and compare it to you.
My daughter did not know her Dad that well however there are some behaviors that remind me of him, even though she is very much her own person.

Well he is your father, so it could be genetical information.
