Me and my boyfriend were together for a little over three years. We broke up in September of 2006 because he said his feelings for me changed and he thinks that he fell out of love with me. He left me to start a long distance relationship with another woman, but he constantly tells me that she is not the one and I am. He still tells me that he loves and misses me and I feel the same way. RIght now our relationship is great, we are still friends and we are still always there. We talk and see each other a lot, but because of his girlfriend we are not affectionate. I want him back, what should I do??

Have you asked yourself why this fella has a problem making and maintaining a commitment?

He's in a committed long-distance relationship, which requires very little emotional effort on a daily basis (this is experience talking). Yet, he claims to love you -- assume you are in closer proximity -- but can't/won't make a commitment.

If you love him, can't live without him, and absolutely must have him back at any price, then you must accept that he has commitment and fidelity issues. After all, cheating starts in the mind.

Depending on the guy's personality, you'd try different tactics to get a guy back. Rule of thumb male personality rule? Guys love a challenge and the unattainable. Take it from there.

Caveat: If you get this guy back, be prepared to take full responsibility for your decision when he pulls the same thing on you. After all, hasn't he already left you once because his feelings changed? And now they've changed back again? When he's "with" another woman? If you're prepared to pay the price tag -- and there will definitely be one -- go for it girl.

Good luck.

Straight up tell him that you want to be in a relationship with him again. Seriously dont beat around the bush at all. And tell him if he honestly does not want to be with you, he needs to let you move on and stop saying he loves you and stuff, because that just gives you false hope if hes not planning on getting back together with you, and thats a horrible thing to do to someone. Be strong... I think it would impress him if he saw you be strong about this and tell him straight out.

You should have some self-respect and get out of the picture. If he wanted to be with you, he would. He hasn't been with his gf for very long, but why hasn't he broken up with her? He can't be that much in love with her. Why are you letting him do this to you?
