I was wondering why, because other fruits are negative calories

Alright, when people talk about negative calories, it means that your body has to expend more calories chewing, swallowing, and digesting that food than the food is worth in the first place...and THAT is different for every person due to metabolism, etc. Celery and Grapefruit are the 2 foods that people most often talk about being worth "negative calories". So I hope that clears up what negative calories even are. Most foods are worth at least something because the body has to work to burn them off (and "calories" refers to the amount of energy it takes the body to burn something off). Bananas have more sugar than alot of other fruits, so they're a little higher in calories naturally. And by the way, bananas are full of POTASSIUM which is excellent for all kinds of cramps, among other things.

I have never heard of any fruit or vegetables being negative calories. What would ever give you that idea?

All fruits have carbs in them - carbs = calories!!!

There is not a single food that can be classified as a "negative calorie." It's impossible. The human digestive system is too efficient for it. It's all nonsense.

If it were true, then vegetarians would starve to death.

Well, for one they are healthy. Most fruits and veggies just go right through your digestive system. They are full of nurtients because they grow from soil where they get the nutrients. And they have no additives in them.

no fruit and vegetable has negative calories. when you eat celery you burn more calorie eating it than it has. but it still has calories

it has surars, and other things in it. i personally hate bannans, they make me throw up. they are healthy, however, just not negative calories.

what are u high? nothing is on negative calories, nothing u can eat will help u lose calories, jesus christ, americans are stupider than i thought
