If you think about it Noah and his Ark...no one believed him and laughed at him for building the Ark so thus they were destroyed by the flood and Jesus died on the cross with few followers what he did have just watched and did not sacrifice themselves to save him even his own "mother". So if you look at the history in a sense right there in the "book of life" and they say history repeats itself then why would you be a Christian seeing there are so many of them? It seems to me like the religion that holds the fewer believers is the winner but that's just and observation. Majority seems to fail as far as the bible goes. What are your ideas on this?

My observation is many come in his name but do not know him. Many people say they are christians but really aren't. If they were they wouldn't hate, kill, slander, lust and all the rest of the sins. Or if they did they at least would recognize it as sin and ask God for forgiveness and try not to do it anymore. My experience has been that alot of men see it as a business and a place to make contacts or pick up women. I believe in Christ but I do not believe in organized religion. There is always someone who wants to ruin it with power, control or someother thing.

If the disciples had raised a finger they would have been slaughtered on sight by the Romans

Incidentally, of the 11 remaining - only 1 died of old age (John), the others died horrible deaths - even Peter was crucified upside down - so as not to be compared with Jesus.

Chistianity if a Faith - not a religion. It is a daily walk - not a once a weekly ritual.

John 3:16-17 has your answer.

Yep, the flood of the end times is deception.
A flood of lies. An overflowing treachery.

Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Well in answer to Noah.. forgive my joking about it, but we want to be on the ark. The flood came as judgment to the world. In reference to Jesus on the cross.. there wasn't a thing anyone could've done anyway. It wouldn't make sense for them to have tried. Besides, it was God's plan.

If you're worried about Christians not caring what happens to other people (which seems to be what's disturbing you about those passages), you may also notice that, with Noah, at least, he did everything in his power to help those people. God is good, but he is also fair at the same time, and those people did nothing to ask for his help and refused to believe.

Jesus? Nothing anyone could've done but stand there in abject horror and watch. I think we can safely release the bystanders from any responsibility there. It's your decision.

Whether you believe or not, you've totally misread the story of Noah and the Ark. They were destroyed for their sin, iniquities, etc...--what ever terminology you choose. (It's a morality story) They were not destroyed for their amusement/making fun of Noah.
As for there being so many Christians, I'm not so sure. It seems that the ones that wave the banner the highest with the in your face attitude, exhibit Christ's principles the least. (That's just my observation.)

Jesus's disciples (with the exception of Judas Iscariot) all died horrible deaths because they chose to believe and tell others. Peter was crucified upside down, for example. For you to say they did not sacrifice themselves is simply not true.

As your for question about why would I be a Christian given that there are so many of them, I guess I would say, because it's all true; a fact countless billions have discovered throughout two millenia.

Read Lee Strobel's "The Case for Faith." It should answer many questions for you.

"Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved" (Romans 9:27). The actual saved are always the tiny minority. What mystifies me are the wannabes. Why would someone want to pretend to be a Christian without any of the blessings? What a drag!

What an odd comment. A Christian has their eyes on Jesus Christ, not on counting how many others believe in Him. Jesus is the focal point, as He should be. The truth of something is not found in the number of followers.

Jesus' mother would not have sacrificed herself because she knew at Jesus' birth that He was destined to die for our sins. He could've saved Himself from the cross but chose to save us instead. So many people try to second guess the bible and what is in it. I just don't understand.
