Im not sure if its a program I need but I know that it was there earlier today and now it's gone and I cant listen to any of my music online..My ATT music Jukebox or limewire or my song on anyone's MySpace page

Go to Control Panel, then click on the Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices link. After that, click on the Sounds and Audio Devices link. Then, a window should come up with about five tabs at the top, click on the one that says volume. You can then enable/disable the volume icon in the taskbar. You can also see if sound devices are muted or not. Enjoy!
Also the icon might just be hidden, so if you see a little arrow in the taskbar, click on it and the icon might slide out to where you can see it.

Assuming your sounds drivers are installed properly
under control panel, go to sound and multimedia deivdes. there is a checkbox option to value to colume appear on the system tray.

if you see a little arrow pointing to the left click on it then you should see it
