Well, those of you who are supporters of the breed, I was hoping you could check out a Website and Forum I made. Many people feel all Pitbulls are horrible, disgusting animals, but I feel that you only fear what you don't know, and this is an unknown breed if I've ever seen one. Thousands of innocent Pitbulls are being putdown because of bad owners training thier Pitbulls to be bad. If a Pit was not trained to fight, it won't. I refuse to believe that any one of my three Pits would so much as raise a paw to cause harm unless they felt they were being threatened. My one pit even broke up a fight between two dogs once, and then walked away... I have pictures of two of my pits licking eachother...how vicous...

wow they are beautiful i found a news paper clipping about a pit saving a little girl from a house fire (click my name and go to my questions its in there) i know that the DOGS name is Marley and the little girl who's life this dog saved LAST name is Marley but the ower of the dog is in no way related to the family that this pit saved.!.!. they are great dogs and YES the only time they kill people is when the owners use the dogs as fighting dogs if u havnt noticed more 75 percent of the pits that have killed people are in the states that have the most pit bull fighting things!
pits are great dogs and excellent companions its 100% the owners fault not the dogs pits SHOULD NOT BE KILLED WHEN THE F*CKING OWNERS DONT TRAIN THERE PETS PROPERLY!!!!

thank u and i am a huge pit bull fan as i own 4 loving beautiful ones of my own as well as 1 jackrussle and 2 Chihuahuas! o and one cat and my pits cuddle and lick my Chihuahuas and cat soooo for all u people who think pits are killers ... both my female pits have had 3 litters of puppy's each and all the other pets were around them the whole time ... god my pits let the Chihuahuas in the bed not even 1 day after they had there pups the Chihuahuas would spend all day in the beds with the mums and pups ... they are not killers

hi i also own pitbulls i also raise pitbulls their the best breed i've ever dealt with very loyal , loving and if raised right well tempered i have 9 pits and they all get along and love each other i also adopted another one today , i saw an ad in the paper it was free if the owner didnt claim it unfortuntely the owner called the lady and described the dog to a T and told this lady he was on his way to a pitfight when the dog jumped out of his car i'm so glad she lied to him about getting rid of the dog she lied to him so this beautiful pit wouldnt be fought anymore we truely need more people like her to help us protect our pit breeds this pit is such a sweetheart i cant see why people are so cruel to fight any dogs it's just so inhumane thanks for being a supporter for the pitbull breed

All dogs have teeth, which provides all dogs with the potential to bite.

In my career as a veterinary technician there are only a few breeds I was on edge about: Shepherds, Huskies, Chows and Chihuahuas! We saw many, many Pit Bull Terriers and never had an ounce of trouble with one. I would never own one, since they are terriers and have needs that I cannot provide for. They definitely get a bad rap.

I did enjoy your website.

There are wonderful pits who would never bite a person or another dog. There are wonderful pits who would bite another dog, given the chance.

And there are pits who may be great dogs, but through breeding and inheriting a gene for increased aggression, probably should be culled.

I happen to have a Golden Retriever who probably shouldn't have been born. He is largely field type, but highly reactive, especially to other dogs. We got him when he was 10 months old and branded dog and people aggressive.

Managed and trained properly, he is neither, but it is our responsibility to keep him out of situations that can trigger old habits. Fortunately, that is pretty easy. Too many people aren't willing to manage or train their dogs. Heck, they aren't willing to expend that much energy on their children, much less a dog.

And there are people who, through a combination of profound ignorance and/or stupidity, should never be allowed to own any dog, much less a pittie.

I *heart* pitbulls. I would never own one, but only because I'm smart enough to know how much training and supervision they need, especially when they're young, and I simply don't have the time. I wish people would start laying blame on owners and not animals!

You are NOT the problem. You are to be congradulated. But there are not ENOUGH of your kind around- and those are the jerks in question. Dogs are supposed to have a life. They roll in the tall grass, and run around. They should be able to sleep peacefully, be cared for, and, if need be, be taken to the vet for treatment. Oh, I have a little Lhasa Mix, and she's the JOY of my life!,- and oh- what a Life!
