This guy went parachuting. He jumped out of the plane, counted ten, and pulled his ripcord. Nothing happened so he pulled his reserve ripcord. Again nothing happened. He was thinking, now what do I do, pray? When he looked down he saw a guy coming up. He yelled, "Hey do you know anything about parachutes". The guy coming up yelled, "No do you know anything about furnaces".

I think that what you say is a bit of an over generalization. I am what one might call a religious person. I admit that I seldom laugh at "bathroom jokes", at jokes that are "dirty or smutty", jokes that "belittle" others, or jokes that try to demean God.
If this is losing my sense of humor, then I plead guilty. However, I work for a lot of homeowners, and i never have to worry that my language will ever offend them.
I have several other men that work for me from time to time. I never comment on their language. However, I have found that within a week cussing and swearing and saying "Jesus Christ" in about every sentence suddenly vanishes.
I do a lot of purchasing at the local Home Depot. Every time I leave I try to tell the cashiers a joke. Sometimes they are corney ,sometimes not. However, one day recently I heard one cashier say to another: "The clean joke guy, what's his name." The other replied "It's Bryan"
Hope this helps
Bryan

I don't think everyone that is religious loses there sense of humor but most of them do...odd. I am very religious and still crack some jokes but appropriate ones.

They have a sense of humor, it's just not very sophisticated. They might laugh at a Ziggy or Family Circle cartoon, for example.

Everyone has a decent sense of humor.
You just have to choose your audience
wisely. You could also consider the fact
that you may not be funny.

I have humor, but I'm Muslim. What type of "religious folk" are you talking about?

i was gonna ask the same...or even worse they dont recognise humor in other people. You say god or jesus and they get all serious and start quoting the bible...i remember once i was in a christian group and i wanted to ask something about god, and i started my question: why god... suddenly i couldnt control my body and a fart scaped my interior self, i was so embarrased that i couldnt finish my question, but guess what? they answered my farting question anyway

I was born with mine, or was it when the nurse drop me on my head.
Sometimes typed words don't come out with that eye gleaming appearance. Some seem to sensitive, or don't read correctly.
