The bible says that "God is no respector persons". So, tell me, are religious leaders like the Pope, Dalai Lama, Billy Graham and other leaders of major religions more special and loved by God or not? Are we all eaqual? Are these leaders further up the love chain in God's eyes. I really need to know. This question is burning through me.

The Bible says many times that God is not a respecter of "Persons" (meaning worldly leaders) Hero worship is a sin.

God so loved THE WORLD, that He gave His only begotten Son, whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.

That tells it all- it does not say, I love you, but I love a leader more. The Bible is absolutely right that he is not a respector of persons. It is not what we do that makes us special in His eyes, it is who we are in Him. Billy Graham is a wonderful man of God, but you and I are equally loved by our great God. He did not die more for him than He did for me. Great question though!!

We are all equals in the eyes of God. Those special persons you have mention are special because of the way they live their lives through the teachings of God and study to try to understand live. That don't make them more than us. You or anyone else can be like them if they have God in their hearts

I believe this: God loves everyone. He loved the world so much that He died for each of us, in the Person of Jesus Christ.

If you or I had been the only person in need of forgiveness and salvation, He would still have died for you or I alone. He paid for your sin, just like He paid for mine, through His death.

That said, everyone does not have the same responsibility; some people are called to do more, perhaps like the leaders you mention. To whom much is given, much is required. You may not be a prominent religious figure in the world's eyes, but God sees and loves you individually.

Remember, God died for you, and greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. You are his friend, if you do what He commands. His commandment is that you love God, and your neighbor as yourself.

Please email me if you want to know more, or if you need clarification. I don't know much, but I am happy to help.

God bless.

While it can be debated whether or not God loves everyone equally (Romans 9:13-16), I would strongly disagree that God loves religious leaders more by virtue of the fact they are religious leaders. If God loves them more, it would be because they do His will more perfectly, or simply because He feels like it (again, see Romans 9:13-16).

Actually for god everyone is equall. He loves those remember him. Just like a Doctor. Untill you go to him how will you be cured. He will not come to you. You will have to go to him. Same is the case with god. God sees all of us, he watches who is praying him, who is doing good deeds and then rewards him according to his/her deeds. These religious leaders are also like us but the difference is that they are praying god, They have devoted their full time towards god so they are more blessed by The Almighty. They have gained ability to show the path to god.

Christians believe that God loves everyone completely and unconditionally.

However God may or may not approve of some people's thoughts or actions.

Unfortunately some people get love and approval mixed up.

Here are some quotes about God as Love from C. S. Lewis that I really like:

"He [God] has paid us the intolerable compliment of loving us, in the deepest, most tragic, most inexorable sense. .... Love, in its own nature, demands the perfecting of the beloved; ... mere "kindness" which tolerates anything except suffering in its object is, in that respect, at the opposite pole from Love."

"You ask for a loving God; you have one ... not a senile benevolence that drowsily wishes you to be happy in your own way, not the cold philanthropy of a conscientious magistrate, not the care of a host who feels responsible for the comfort of his guests, but the CONSUMING FIRE HIMSELF, the Love that made the worlds, persistent as the artist's love for a child, jealous, inexorable, exacting as love between the sexes..."

"The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell."

With love in Christ.
