Is anyone else in an ice storm? What are you doing to stay warm?

I'm in Oklahoma City and we are expecting 3 storms throught out the weekend with 1-3 inches of ice. My son and I are listening to the old cd's, and drinking hot chocolate next the fireplace tonight.

The ice storm is hitting us right now in Marshfield, MO (on I-44 just east of Springfield, MO). Outside, the power lines are being weighed down with ice and we are preparing for the worst. So far, we still have power, but I don't expect that to last through the weekend.
Luckilly, we bought a house with a fireplace (with an insert), so we can keep it nice and toasty in here even without electricity. Right now, we are cuddled up in the livingroom watching a movie and watching out the window. :)

YES! I am in Weatherford, Oklahoma right now at my dorm at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I am in my dorm room. Every once and a while I turn on the heater in my room. If I leave it on too long, it'll get to hot. Otherwise, I have a blanket nearby.
I can't go to my actual home. The Interstates have been shut down, and the roads are slick and hazardous.

I am not in an ice storm but I am going to curl up with my pet dogs since it is cold. They bring me a lot of comfort. Drink somethings warm coffeee- coca- tea. Maybe eat some soup. Now would be a goood time to be a couple!

I'm near Dallas TX and it's just raining here, but ice is predicted. I have my kitties to keep me warm plus a good husband. It dropped 15 degrees from when I went into the grocery store to when I came out. It dropped more after that. Texas weather is crazy!

sorta, the st louis area is under a ice storm warning... i dpnt think its icy yet but it will be soon
to stay warm i have the heat on and i am under a blanket for added warmth

I live in Los Angeles and they said that its going to be in the 20's tonight. Il turn the heater on and bundle up.

We are going through that up here in south eastern iowa too. wish I had hot choclate too icey here to go out and get some. share a cup with a good friend? PLz? Enjoy your time with your son. claire I love marshmallows too!!!

haha, well I have a fireplace. But get lots of blankets. And sitting on your hands helps too. :)
