They very much resemble zucchini in appearance, but are a bit shorter, and perhaps a bit thicker. The color is also a bit more yellowish-green, and they appear stripy, but other than that, they are almost identical to zucchini. What are they called??

summer and crook neck are yellow but have the shape of a zucchini.

I really can think of any vegtable that you are talking about.

Its called courgettes in France and UK. It is a summer squash or zucchini squash in the US but courgettes ( pronounced "kor-zettes") sounds so much yummier!

sounds like a crook neck squash. quite tasty sliced and sauteed in butter with onion!!
