Hey Cindy,

Go to the town/municipality where he died, and ask where the probate and will for him is. Then request a copy. If there is no will, then his kids would divide the proceeds of his estate in probate. If you are the only one, then you would inherit it all. Probate determines what happens. So, you have to find the result of the probate (unless a will stipulates otherwise).

Many inventors have little $$ because they did not market the product . . . most sell the rights to a company for a small price.
But if you have any questions - ask the trustee handling his estate. They should have notified you , however, if you were mentioned in the will.

Check the county government listings for Probate Court. Anyone who works in that office should be able to answer your question.
