My anatomy teacher says he knows people who can breathe through their eyes.
Is he nuts or is it actually possible?

It's possible. The tear ducts in the corner of your eyes lead to your nasal passages and down to your throat. Thats why sometimes when you put drops in your eyes you can taste it.
(your ears are also connected to your throat, eustation tubes,)

I think he just might be nuts! If that were the case it would have been on Rippley's believe it or not or something. There are air pocket's in our eyes but by no means do I think they are big enough to breathe through. I'm going to research it now. Let me know.

Saw a guy on Jay Leno, the other night who submerged his head under water and pinched his nose, and held his breath, while pushing air bubbles out of the corners of his eye, they were coming out at a fast rate , like a machine gun. HOWS THAT .??

It is impossible to inhale, but possible to exhale. They showed people on Ripley's Believe it or Not who could blow air (and liquid) out of their eyes.

I'll say it's possible, just not viable. You can't get much air through something meant for crying.
