I cannot speak of Islam because I'm not well versed on the
subject, but I do know about Christianity and I can tell you
that women are denied nothing. There are no mentionings
in the bible that women cannot be doctors, lawyers, engineers
actors etc. No laws forbidding ownership of property. No
laws forbidding leadership except in the church. The laws
don't neglect woment from being leaders in the church< it
only states that men should be active and take the roles to
govern and take care of the congregation. If the men cannot
there is no restriction that the women can't do these duties.
I believe the scriptures were written to keep the guys from
begin lazy and dumping all the work on females, since women
manage and organize much better than men. I'm not saying
that it's a genetic thing but look at the household and the work-
force. If women weren't involved guys wouldn't know which
direction to take. Men did take on a dominant role in the
Bible the same as today but it doesn't anyway negate the in-
telligence, inner strength or intuition of our female society.

The premise for the question is flawed. Jesus Christ was radical in His empowering of women. He taught women, which was forbidden by the Jewish rabbis at that time. He always treated women with respect, never joked about them or made crude jokes about they way that they drove their ox carts, never made them feel like sexual objects.
The Bible reveals that women often operated in the profetic gifts while the male disciples were completely lost. (one example would be Mary anointing Jesus for burial with expensive perfume, while the disciples critisized her for "wasting money". The perfect, profetic heartfelt worship that she poured out pleased the heart of Jesus, while the male disciples had not a clue.)
While I know that there are some that interpret certain Biblical passages as showing inferiority of females, I believe that that interpretation is wrong, and that more careful study reveals that men and women are equals in the kingdom of God. I personally don't believe that there is any position denied to a woman- prophetess, head pastor, missionary, etc.
I would argue that Christianity is the only religion that really accords to women the same authority it accords to men. I pray that women would rise up and operate in the callings and the giftings that God has prepared for them, and that the Kingdom of God would go forth with power!

In the christian bible it states that eve commited a horrible sin by being enticed by the snake to eat the forbidden apple of knowledge, because of this women must forever pay for eve's heinous crime, that is why christians deny women authority and priviledges. As for Islam it is most likely because of reprecussions through christianity.

Of all religions Christianity leads to more liberty for more people than any other. Just look at the nation you live in. There are many where you could be killed for being an atheist same as a Christian.

Historically, men have ruled the earth by brutal power alone. Women were trampled underfoot because they were the weaker sex. When belief in a god, or gods came along, well naturally it would be a male mighty warrior. They all worshipped power, and strength! The idea of the male being supreme, just creeped into religion, thats all, no one gives it a second thought.

There is no comparison of these two religions regarding women. My goodness, in Christian Churches women can do all kinds of things and speak out, also we don't have to wear those weird outfits. We are far more respected. The only thing we can't do is be priests in a Catholic Church, I say good, what do we have to do everything. Men need to do something in the Church.

I am a Christian and I have the same rights as any man has. Have mercy on the men past and present that have tried to say otherwise.

Christianity is the first "religion" that freed women, placing them on equal footing with men before God. EVERY other religion, from Moslem to Mormon, places women as second class or worse. Christianity caught much flak for saying that women were equal, before God, to men. As noted above, that objection was (is still) all about power.
That said, God is still our Lord as well as our Savior. He tells us what our jobs are. He gives women specific jobs and men specific jobs. This is a spiritual war. Don't disobey your commanding officer in wartime.

While we share in the same dignity as women our roles are not the same. The short answer Created man Adam while Eve came from man Adams' rib.
Gen. 3:16 – in fact, God revealed that women would want to usurp their husband’s authority as the result of the original sin. After the original sin, God tells Eve: “Yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.” Thus, as a result of the original sin, Eve would desire to rule over Adam, but God ensured that Adam would rule over Eve.
The ruling power is therefore the head. And if ‘the Lord is head of the man, and the man is head of the woman,’ the man, ‘being the image and glory of God, is lord of the woman.’ Wherefore also in the Epistle to the Ephesians it is written, ‘Subjecting, ourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is the head of the Church; and He is the Savior of the body. Husbands, love your wives, as also Christ loved the Church. So also ought men to love their wives as their own bodies: he that loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh.’ And in that to the Colossians it is said, ‘Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as is fit in the Lord.
