Chi pups are more durable then most people think. Her leg could be broken/fractured, or she would of bruised something. Is she putting any weight on it? Is is swollen? If it is swollen take her to your vet or emergency clinic ASAP! She needs pain med either way.

Poor Little Girl! May I ask, what a puppy that young was doing on top of a high stool? I have five chihuahuas, and if she was mine, I would definitely take her to the vet immediately, if you haven't already. Chihuahuas are very fragile dogs, especially at 5 weeks old. You may not see any damage on the outside, but she could be very seriously injured internally. Sometimes, problems don't show themselves right away, and she could be in serious trouble without you knowing she is. If she makes it, because it's such a bad fall, and you don't get her to a vet, she will probably have problems for the rest of her life, and that's so unfair. Poor baby, must be in so much pain!

chihuahua's do tend to have more issues of having broken legs and the such. just be careful and let the little one's know that she can't get up there. good luck. if you notice that she's limping later or acting strange otherwise take her to a vet.

Your vet would desire to have informed you what to do around your abode, in terms of cleansing and such, to confirm each thing exchange into long gone. do not provide the hot dogs ANY of the previous dogs's issues. that's all i will rather make it easier to be responsive to as I even have not had to bypass via this occasion, yet overheard my boss tell this to somebody in a similar undertaking. seek for "Parvo Prevention" or some thing similiar to that on line and you will desire to get some policies. additionally, ask your vet. If i'm not improper, you will desire to bathe something that your dogs got here into touch with, yet i'm going to be incorrect.

What the heck are you doing with a 5 week old chi pup? I hope its with its mom. Chis need to be with their mom for 10-12 weeks.

Take her to the vet. Chis are very small and easily breakable. You don't want any thing in the long run to damage her.

You really should contact your vet, they are such small dogs and could have trouble later on. It is much better to be safe than sorry!

please get her to the vet as soon as they open in the morning to get it checked out. When I had a miniature dachshund puppy, he jumped out of my arms and onto a concrete patio, my mother was in the house cooking dinner and we immediately rushed him to the vet because he would yelp in pain when he tried to put weight on his leg before we took him to the vet, at the vet he was fine, but after he go older, he always favored that leg that he hurt when he hit the patio.

Boy I can sympathsize!

Watch the puppy for a while. If she is still walking normally, she should be fine. If she seems to be limping or in pain, take her to the vet.

Good luck!
