A few months ago me and my buds were at a club and one of my ex's saw my Chevy truck in the parking lot. She got out and smashed out the headights with a jack handle and drove off. Some people saw her do it and told me. We didnt know what to do when my cousin thought maybe we could get some kind of bulbs at a walmart that was only about a mile down the road. It was really late but they are always open. We couldnt find anything like what is on my truck but Sonny had a idea. We bought two big flashlights and some duct tape and we taped them on the fenders and turned them on and we thought it worked pretty good. When a cop pulled me over on the way home I had to tell him the whole story. I thought i was going to jail (again) but he laughed so hard he let us go. I didnt fix them cause they cost over $500.00! Last month i was trying to get some more insurance (another story) and the insurance lady said they wont insure with flaslights. What can I do? Does anybody have troubles like I do?

I know my ex should pay but believe me, it would just go really wrong if we went back to court. The judge hates me and there are several issues that i really dont want brought up in court.

You must be smoking some really good stuff. Put the flashlights in the glove box and get some headlights--You dodo

You aren't serious, are you? Flashlights instead of headlights? I can see in an emergency, but if you couldn't be bothered replacing them your truck is not legal and should not only be not insurable should not be on the road, period. The cop gave you a break based on the situation, don't count on another one.

Try a salvage yard, they sometimes can sell you used parts a about 1/2 price of new.

Sounds like you really need to replace your headlights.

Your troubles are of your own making, if you were nicer to your ex you would not need new lights.

You file an official report of what happened. Then you take your ex to small claims court and make her pay for new headlights. That's destruction of someone else's property and is illegal where I come from.......
Good luck
