Not if you like him. you try talking to him also sometimes because it is not all up to him to do the talking. Also I find that writing notes helps.

It depends on how much you like him. He must be good looking if he did not have to impress you to get a date with you. If he is really good looking he probably do give a **** about you and you are just waisting your time.
The other thing, you should give him more time. I myself only really open up to friends i have had for more then 3-4 years.
I think you should be patient with him. Drink with him, that the only time i am comfortable talking about myself. Be nice and show him you are not leaving and will not hurt him.

well why did you pick him in the first place if he is too shy? but I suggest find something to do, and be direct with him and say why dont you talk much? just be honest. Communication is the key, and if theres no communication there, then theres no sense in the relationship. Plus having a relationship with someone who doesnt talk is no fun and has no direction. So my suggestion is tell him straight up to man up or hit the road.

Well, it sounds cruel to break up with him because he is shy, but couples need to communicate. If you don't communicate, you can't get to know each other. Lack of communication is probably the most common problem, even in marriages. I've heard of couples getting divorced after ten years because all of a sudden they had nothing to talk about. Only you can decide.

well sometimes guys/girls are shy when they first hook up with someone. try to make him more comfortable. how long have the two of you been together? within time he will get more comfortable with you. only break up with him if you dont like him. you could maybe ask him something like "so when are you gonna start talkin to me?" in a playful sort of way. maybe you should be the first to make a move. eventually he will get more comfortable with you.

First before you do anything, talk to him about his shyness. You can help him, and develop a better relationship. you could tell him that its hard to have a relationship without communication, and that it might not last. That should knock him out of his shyness. If that doesn't work just leave.

Id like to know how in the world you got together. I would stop trying to talk and just do things together.

Tell him that unless he opens up and starts talking to you like a couple should, then you feel like the relationship is pointless and should end.

No! what are ways to communicate? figure this out and maybe you can save your relationship. find out what he likes and drill him on it until he gives you talk. once he's comfortable talking about his surroundings and conversation, slip in your issues and discussions.this will get him to warm up to you enough that you might have to pry him off.don't give up on him. if you picked him for whatever reason then deal with that reason until you find out his problem. don't be selfish
