a man i've been dating is inviting me over to his place and he is cooking for me and i am not sure how i should be dressed..one part of me says to be comfortable but at the same time i want to look nice....so what should i wear?

Do you have anything that's comfortable AND nice looking? Wear that!
If not, you should probably choose to look nice. Going to his house looking sloppy is not very attractive.

To be comfortable, I would advise a pair of skinny jeans you've worn before with maybe some heels to dress them up. You could wear a nice long-sleeved shirt with a subtle low neck or a turtleneck, but if the print and cut are simple, dress that up with a necklace and bracelets. Put your hair up nicely. That way, your essentials are things you've worn before, but it still looks nice, which tells him you appreciate what he's doing for you. If you wanted, you could also put on a little more makeup than you usually do. If you wear no makeup at all, for example, you could add a neutral pink eyeshadow or some lipstick. I hope your dinner goes well!

you can be comfortable and nice and sexy at the same time can't you?
the little black dress will never go wrong. Go for a simple one, you will be comfortable, and yet not too much for the occasion.
but never mind that, just wear what you look good in. can't give you advice that is more useful because I don't know where you are form and how you look like. Just dress like yourself

It depends on how you want him to look at you. It also depends on where you are in your relationship. If in doubt I would wear jeans and a classy/dressy shirt. That way you're comfortable yet still look nice.

Nothing with cookie monster on it. lol I'd say Jeans and a dressy shirt, best of both worlds. Or dress casual and fix your hair really nice.

Be fashionable, but not too eager. A knee long flirty dress with a color that matches your eyes with skinny straps. sandals that match with some lenght on the heel but not Too bad. you should put on crayon eye liner and mascara so he will be foucusing on the eyes... NEVER WEAR DARK LIPSTICK WITH FLOWY DRESSES!!! just wear some shine on the lips and bam... a perfect model...
