Jesus did exist...
But is there a god ?
Or was Mary a tramp and didn't want her boyfriend to know where that extra money was coming from?

Accepting God/Jesus is about more than just believing Jesus existed. it's about believing the whole new testament. that he died for our sins, that he is our savior.
Let me put it to you this way.
Jesus is at your doorway with a gift. the gift of salvation. just knowing he's there isn't enough. wanting the gift isn't enough. saying "come in" isn't enough. You have to open the door to accept the gift. (the door to your heart)
Accepting God/Jesus is opening your heart and soul to him. Loving him, not only believing.
this doesn't bring "part time eternal salvation" (an oxymoron) but true salvation.

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

No thats not what He meant..okay accepting Jesus means accepting Him into your heart, accepting Him to be your Lord and Savior. It means to trust in Him.Its not enough for us to know He exist its much more than that.Believing in Him means that you will put your faith in Him to watch over you, to give Him your yolk(your burdens) and to be obedient to Him.To do what He asks you to do.To love what He loves and to hate what He hates. The only way you can get into Heaven is if you truly accept Jesus Christ in your life and that includes changing your old or evil ways and becoming a follower of Christ. There is no such thing as "part-time".You're either in Heaven or Hell, in the end there is no in-between...i hope that really helps.

No, it's not merely believing He existed. It's firstly recognizing that you have sinned in life and have need of a savior. Then you believe in Jesus, the son of God, who died on a cross to pay for your sins, and rose again. It is also a desire to find out more about the kind of life God would have you lead.
Salvation comes with repentance and a conversion of the heart, and it is no joking matter.

It is not enough just to believe since the devils believe and tremble. We are to hear the Word, believe the Word, repent of our sins, confess Jesus before men, and be buried with Him in baptism for the remission of sins and then remain faithful til death. This is the plan of salvation and it will never change. Acts:2:38

It means to allow yourself to be brainwashed and to stop thinking for yourself and questioning things pertaining to religion. Jesus did exist. That much seems to be true. As far as all of the rest, none of it has been a proven fact. The bible is still a book written by a bunch of men many years ago and it should be questioned.

alright, The term accepting jesus comes from a verse in Romans.
It says, "For if you accept with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and Believe in your heart that he died for you sins, you too will have eternal Life in Heaven." does that answer your question?

accepting god/Jesus means becoming a christian, by inviting jesus into your heart. And trusting him as your lord and saviour. AND NO, BELIEVING IN JESUS AND GOD WILL NOT BRING YOU INTO HEAVEN, ONLY HELL. Be saved right now, f your not. Or it will be to late, im serious. Once, a mans pastor was about to save his friend, but didnt, or he might think his friend won't like him anymore, so he didnt. And guess what happened? His friend died the day after in a car crash.

If you really want to know, try looking up the meanings of "Lordship", "Lord", "master", and "king".
The people who talk about "accepting Jesus" aren't talking about merely admitting that He exists. The devil already does that, and it doesn't help it one bit. This type of acceptance goes a lot deeper. This "acceptance" is admitting that God is master of all creation, and willingly submitting yourself to His guidance and mastery and lordship. Mental assent doesn't even begin to cover this!
You wouldn't be accepting just a buddy, or a friend, or even "just" a hero. You will be accepting a King, and submitting yourself as a subject.
