I get this thing sometimes, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep... it's like if I'm thinking of a hand, for example, i get an image of a hand in my head and it keeps getting bigger and bigger and then smaller and smaller. It doesn't last very long, like 5-10 minutes, but every image in my head feels like its zooming in and zooming out continuosly. My twin sister gets this too. Has anyone ever heard of it and knows what the condition is called? Has anyone ever experienced this?

I read in a magazine about this condition

Alice in Wonderland syndrome (AIWS), or micropsia, is a disorienting neurological condition which affects human visual perception.

Subjects perceive humans, parts of humans, animals, and inanimate objects as substantially smaller than in reality. Generally, the object perceived appears far away or extremely close at the same time. For example, a family pet, such as a dog, may appear the size of a mouse, or a normal car may look shrunk to scale. This leads to another name for the condition, namely, Lilliput sight or Lilliputian hallucinations...

Maybe its a" folie a deux "
it is an experience where 2 or more people are having the same experience.
But not to offend you, the term that i wrote above is a psychiatric term. I'm not saying that your that.
But if i were you, better see a doctor because maybe your having
a visual hallucination...

I may come to think at first that its normal. But since you said your twin sister had the same experience, then better see your doctor. Don't disregard it. If it will take too long maybe you'll develop into psychosis.
Sorry to tell, but I'm only concern.
thanks.......

I've had this too, sometimes my whole body feels like the size of a head of a pin then I feel like I am so big that I am touching the walls on all sides. I have often wondered if these are prebirth mental images.

I've had this same experience, along with things getting shorter and fatter, then taller and skinner.
