My family has never gone to church. My mom was raised catholic, and she didn't like the religion, she felt that everyone that went to her church were all hipocrits, because they would 'sin' and do whatever they wanted, then felt that it was okay if they just asked God for forgivness. So she didn't raise us to be religious. She did teach us to believe in God. BUT, i still believe in evolution, and i feel that there is a very good chance that when we die, our bodies will just go back into the earth to regenerate. But i also feel that there is a possibility of a higher power. And if there is one, i don't believe it is anything like the God christians believe in. So my belief is that anything is possible, and no one knows the real truth. What does this mean i am? I mean, what 'category' am i in?

people ask me all the time what 'religion' i am, or what beliefs i have. And i don't know what to tell them. Then i saw some people saying they were agnostic, and i thought that described how i felt, that is why i am asking.

Yes, agnostic describes you perfectly.
A true agnostic is like a spiritual scholar. You don't know that anyone can know unless they attain enlightenment, and you're not sure if that can even be attained.
One who searches and doesn't know but who also accepts the possibility that there might be great power in the universe or none at all is agnostic.

I don't think you are necessarily agnostic. I think it is possible to not believe in God but still be of the opinion that there is one. To my mind, to believe something is to hold something as true no matter what. It may be that you are curious enough to wonder what is possible without feeling the need to dig your heels in to believe. To me this is different from the concept of being agnostic where one says more or less "I can't know so therefore I choose neither".
I am of the opinion that there probably is something that created the physical universe, but that we aren't anything special and that in the end we are worm food. I suggest you explore the possibilities. Don't rush to blieve one thing or another. Find what makes sense and add on.

Go Eastern, and forget the whole god thing.
Get into the Tao, get into Buddhism as a philosophy, without the Boddhisatvas and all that magical crap.
Let me ask you, if we're above the plants, and yet we don't have this incredible thing called photosynthesis,
then why can't there be a higher power, that doesn't happen to have the amazing things we call consciousness, choice, and personality?
Why at all?
Good luck!

How do you know what the Christian God is if you never went to Church, never were instructed in the faith, and had a mother who told you that all Christians were hypocrites. Why not take the time to discover God for yourself, instead of listening to others.

Don't feel the need to catagorize yourself if you don't want to. You can be religious and still accept mainstream science, no matter what the crazies say. But you sound mostly agnostic if you feel the need to be in a catagory.

You're not sure if you believe in any gods or not. Yes, that's pretty much the definition of agnostic.

You're an agnostic if you "don't know there's a god and you don't care."
Its a valid position. Nothing wrong with saying I don't know.

Why can't evolution be gods way of creating man ?
The only way to know the truth is to wait until we die.

Surely you are afraid of me,"says the Lord. "You shake with fear in my presence. I am the one who made the beaches to be a border for the sea, a border the water can never go past. The waves may pound the beach, but they can't win over it. They may roar, but they cannot go beyond it. Jeremiah 5:22
