What is the best way (honestly) to flatten ones tummy? My tummy seems to be tetting bigger by the day (well, just about) and I don't feel comfortable with my clothes. I used to have a lovely figure - slatish tummy and a small waist. I have a lot of fat around my tummy/waist even to my back and am desperate.

I wear a sixe 12 (if I'm being honest, I think it is now a 14). I can deal with the other part of my body by feel self conscious about my tummy.

By the way I go to the gym 3 times a week!!! Maybe not doing the proper tummy exercises - more fat burn/cardio vascular but even then I'm not loosing any weight on my tummy.

Is it true there are tablets? What's the best option? One that will actually really work.

Thanks

If you are already doing cardio then it may not be enough. Cardio burns fat and works the heart muscle. You must do toning excersises like crunches or anything of the sort to tone your stomach muscles this is to "fine tune" your stomach. If you don't like crunches, try pilates or yoga to tone muscle. I would NOT recommend pills for you. Most diet pills are for desperate situations. (by desperate I mean morbidly obese situations) keep doing your regular cardio and start doing crunches or some other toning excercise for the abs. If you do crunches, do as many as you possibly can (even push yourself) and keep increasing the number of crunches you do day by day once you feel that that you can do more. You should notice results in as early as a week if you keep at it. Hope this helps

Drink lots of water - this can reduce bloating in the stomach area.

Personally, I do yoga and crunches daily, just to firm my stomach muscles and keep myself supple.

Don't go down the tablet road - there aren't any available specifically for stomach toning, and those diet pills that are out there just reduce the amount of nutrients you can take from your food.

your a size 12/14 ? what's ya problem... not sure if it's just for you or you want to be slimmer to match the crowd.. my personal opinion is stop trying so hard! your the perfect size! you work out 3 times a week so you must be toned... stick where you are or you'll turn into posh spice!!

this is a mans preference... do ya self a favour.. send another question in and ask " what size do men like" because lets be honest here.. nobody actually asks us....

you must diet and excercise. You must burn off 3,500 calories to lose one pound. If you eat 500 less calories a day every day for 7 days the total is 3,500 and you will lose 1lb, maybe more if you also keep your cardio up. Do this for one month and your tummy will get flatter, I promise!

Next time you are at the gym ask one of the trainers. They can best advise. Anyway size12/14 is nice. You`re a woman not a stick. Good Luck. Perseverance always pays good dividends.

Using ab machines will work but as it says in the fine print 'in conjunction with a calorie controlled diet'. Ab flattening comes from dieting, ab strengthening comes from exercising the area.
