An undergraduate has not completed a Bachelor's degree, once you have a Bachelor's degree you are considered a graduate and can go on to get a Master's degree and then a Doctorate, also the difference between a college and a university is that a university offers degrees all the way up to a Doctorate while colleges only go up to a Bachelor's. Community colleges only offer 2 year degrees called Associates degrees.

An undergrad is a person who goes to school for about four years to get a bachelors degree. A grad student is one who is pursuing a masters degree! Hope this helps!!1

A "grad" student has completed 4 years of college & gotten a degree & might be working on post-grad work (ie, masters or doctorate)
An "undergrad" student is anyone in the freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior years of college.

A grad student is one who has already earned their college degree and is *usually* working towards a higher degree, such as a Master's degree.

Undergrads have not gotten a bachelors yet. After that, they can attend Graduate school to receive a Master degree.

An undergraduate is a student that has not yet graduated. They are usually persuing some sort of Associate's or Bachelor's degree. A graduate student is one that has completed undergraduate education and graduated, but has chosen to continue their education towards a Masters degree, a PhD, an MD, a PsyD, etc.
