I am going to have the LEEP procedure done in a week, and I have been doing some research on it. I'm still unclear on the after effects of it and how much the procedure actually hurts. If anyone has had this done before, I would appreciate any advice you have. Thanks.

I had this done 3 years ago. I was given a xanax an hour before to calm my anxiety. It felt like a pinch. There will be some bleeding, your doctor will put iodine where the procedure was performed. Wear a pad for a day or two and you may have some cramping. It really is not that bad and I have been dysplasia free for about 2 1/2 years now. Good luck with this and do not worry.
