i work a full time job and take care of my mother, who lives with me, doesn't work and isn't disabled. i have been doing this for the full year of 2006. can i claim her as a dependent on my w4 tax form?

I think you can only claim someone if they are under the age of 18 or diabled. You can always call somewhere like H&R Block and ask over the phone before you go in to file your taxes

If her gross income for 2006 was less than $3300, you provided more than half of her total support for the year, and she doesn't file a joint return, then you can.
