You don't tell him that because it is a falsehood. You may be infatuated or interested in this fella but it is an impossibility to fall in love with someone you've never met. Too many people get confused over their emotions on line and feel like they are truly meeting friends and/or lovers when in fact they are chatting with total strangers. I have to admit that I met my fiance on line but certainly would never say that I feel in love with her before actually meeting and getting to know the whole person. So try and be a little more realistic with your feelings as he may be something completely different than what you have built up in your head and the same in reverse. Best of luck and perhaps you two will meet some day and get to know each other and truly be able that you have fallen in love after learning about each other.

I don't know how someone can possibly fall in love without spending actual time, in person, with them. Your "friend" only knows what the guy on the other end tells her. His actual life and personality could be totally different than how he presents himself online. Online, I could be a friggin lawyer, a model, an architect...anything I'd want to be. I could be a millionaire if I wanted online.
Until your "friend" has met this person and spent actual time with them, they should hold onto those 3 little words. Make sure she is not falling in love with who he is online, which could be a totally different person than who he is every day in reality. I'm not saying that this guy isn't who or what he claims to be because he very well could be. But he could very well NOT be who he says he is, too. She should be very cautious.
If he lives across the Atlantic, perhaps one of them needs to get on a plane and go visit. I would insist that the guy come here. Its far safer than an unsuspecting woman flying off to London to meet some bloke she met "online". I know people have met over the Internet and fallen in love and lived happily ever after. But, she needs to keep her head out of the clouds and be careful about this. Use some common sense and some caution is all I'm saying...

How productive or beneficial is it to say those words... would it not be better in person after checking out how the two of you could actually be together? Think it through so you aren't hurt.

I know its too late to say this but the Internet dating seen can be a big trap. You haven't met this guy in person and you do not know him. Act in haste and repent in your leisure.

You can't determine that you love someone over the internet.
