...First of all I'm a belter.. & i want to sing a slow touching song.
.... I'm not a soprano.. but i can sing high and low.. So i basically have a pretty good voice range... Any suggestions?? Thanks so much!
Ps... I like to sing Mariah Carry.. Christina Aguilera...Whitney Houston.... Kelly Clarkson ...of that sort..

First of all, make sure that whatever you sing is correct for your voice. You may be able to go high and low, but where does your voice crack? Don't force it. If you're not a soprano, you're probably an alto, so mariah carey would be a no-no, unless they can change the key for you at the talent contest.
Kelly Clarkston-- anything of hers would be good, because she has some touching songs, and everyone seems to love her.
Christina's "Beautiful" would be good too-- singing that song requires confidence, and its a perfect song for touching someone emotionally. Especially if you go with a 40's look when it comes to hair and make-up, and a subdued outfit. Classy and touching= winner.

A moment like this or because of you by kelly clarkson..
Hurt or Beautiful by christina aguilera..
and a great mariah carey song is We belong together

regrettably, an outbreak I gotten smaller in the time of a holiday to a small island crippled my vocal chords so i can not sing (besides the actual undeniable truth that, from what i have been advised, hardly ever all and sundry notices the distinction!), and that i have never been a superb dancer, and the basically device I ever performed even 1/2-decently became a Hohner Melodica (a wind device with twenty or so piano keys; it sounds like a mixture harmonica/organ). So, i wager i will basically might want to get through on my solid looks! ;) P.S. What does this question might want to do with "Senior voters"?

You have suggested yourself what you should sing. Choose a song that you prefer that any of the singers you mention, sing. Use one that fits your criteria to show off your voice fully.

I think "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz, would be a great song to sing. It's a classic and it would definitely show off your vocal range!!!!!!!!!
