The spring dresses should be in stores right now, you can probably find something in white...or even a blush or pastel colour would be pretty and not unheard of for a first wedding...
David's Bridal is a godsend...try there as well
Good will or Salvation Army can have surprisingly nice dresses...
Here in Canada, Sears has some nice dresses in the catalogue for less than 150 bucks that you can own and look nice enough to get married in...in fact, that is just what a friend of mine did...
I wore my mother in laws wedding dress to our wedding, it was perfect...my MIL paid 265 for her dress back in 1964 (we got married in 2003) and it looked like a million bucks, it was a portrait collar with a princess line...I worry my hair in a flippy do, (not totally 60s style but as a nod to the heritage of the dress) and wore a pair of 20 dollar white slingback sandals from Payless...I have had more compliments about how I looked that day than events I've spent a grand getting ready for...proms, new years one time etc...
My husband and I got married for less than a thousand dollars all together, we were not poor but we had lived together for 3 years previous and we were trying to save for a house...
We really thought that other things took priority than going into super big debt for a wedding...we did want to make a commitment to each other in a tangible way...
We paid very little for our wedding and it was really lovely, we fed 50 family members and friends and had a dance and had a really great time...People have said to me I should write a book about getting married on a budget, our wedding truly would have made Martha or at the very least, Rachel Ray, very proud to have attended...(I don't mind saying)
I think the thing that made it really great was the fact that we were not freaking out about the money...
If the person who made the comment about not affording a wedding dress/shouldn't get married doesn't mind me saying, some people want to be able to make this committment of marriage to each other and not have to spend a lot of money. It really has nothing to do with whether you should get married or not...that was way harsh to say to this person who is trying to do the best she can, sorry!
Listen, hun, I hope you find a dress, now that you've put your question out there to the Universe, something should show up...
Best wishes and have a really lovely wedding day...

I would try shopping for a dress on ebay! I'm being really serious, you can find some gorgeous dresses (used, new) for inexpensive. You can get express shipping as well. You obviously may have to get alterations, but you can likely find someone willing to do that on short notice.
Call around to bridal shops, ask about sales.... and just explain that you are looking for an inexpensive dress.
Even try second hand stores.
Good luck!

you can probably buy one cheaper if you check out ebay. i have also seen commercials for davids bridals $99 wedding gown sale. if you only have a month to get a dress, i think you should postpone your wedding. that is a quick turn time for a wedding and it sounds like you are rushing. dont ever rush into getting married. not a good idea. and if you dont have the perfect dress, dont get married. everything will seem wrong.

it's going to be the same as buying. So I would suggest going some place like David's bridal, and looking at the dresses on clearance. I had a friend who got one there for like 80$

I just bought a $20 simple, yet elegant, white dress from Ross, for my wedding dress.
I think dresses are too expensive, and as my husband said: "On her wedding day, she'll look beautiful, no matter what dress she's wearing".
Why put so much money, into something that's only worn for half a day?

You should check David's Bridal. They almost always have sales where you can buy and own a dress starting at $99.00.
You can also try a thrift store. I have seen some beautiful dresses at our local thrift store for about $50.00. Or try a consignment shop.

:) I don't know where you live,
But if you and your future husband can't budget a dress for 100 $ at least Buy or rent.
Then why you getting married, I don't want to be an idiot here, but I did same mistake Now we are not only poor but full of debts.
May be not same situation, I hope you have a great marriegue and great husband and money is not ALL.
But If he is not helping with the budget of the wedding HE may never help with your budget too.
it happened to me, HE could effort get me a dress but we didnt spend money in a dress , we married 5 years, so just think something to think about.
