first of all a puppy should not be taken from it truly is mom earlier 8 weeks Jack Russell are severe capacity , playful and mischievous ( even with the actual incontrovertible truth that maximum doggies are ) As they become older they favor a lot of workout and to be performed with ( i'd advise taking section in with a ball or small Frisbee as they prefer to run and chase issues) Like maximum doggies even as they commence teething they bite a lot so be prepared for that i found using the teething rings or textile that bypass in he freezer to be existence savers it soothes there gums and quit the biting even with what I truly have examine and heard people say of jack Russell they are very smart and would nicely be sneaky so keep a good eye on him in the first few weeks some thing that is significant to you and at doggies factor placed it away or it is going to maximum in all probability be destroyed My dogs is nice natured and loves people and different dogs good success and congrats on the hot puppy x My superb pal has a 5 year old daughter and my puppy loves her also different youthful little ones who stay to inform the tale my street play with him in many circumstances and that i have had no issues i'd be careful even as he's teething notwithstanding there gained't be any purpose yet even as he's biting he would damage her

Jack Russells are super-high-energy, and before you do any training you need to get her exhausted. This will probably take a 1-2+ hour fast walk. You may even want to get a little backpack for her and load it with 1-2 pounds of weights. If you get her exhausted (which she will LOVE), she will be 'in the mood' for training. This dog needs a LOT of exercise, or she'll be crazy and make you miserable.

Try not to personify a dog. Cesar Milan (the dog whisperer) has published an excellent book for every behavioral problem you may encounter with a dog. I know Barnes and Noble carries it and also Amazon.com. A dog is not smarter than you. The dog needs to understand what you want. Good luck and I'm sure this year you and your dog will be great companions. Have a dog gone great year.

I definately recommend getting Cesar Milan's book "Cesar's Way" or any of his shows of "The Dog Whisperer". I do not this your dog was mad at you. Try to stay outside with her longer until she goes potty, then praise her. Make sure you never praise a negative behavior, this only encourages unwanted behavior. Make sure you take her on long walks every day with a few potty stops to see if she will go during the walk.

go to some store like barnes and nobles, and get a book specifically on jack russells. obedience training made my 2 1/2 year old jack grand champ in obedience, placing in state as well. it just takes patience and commitment from both parties. good luck, email me if you have any more ?'s

you need to teach the dog that you are the dominant one. jacks are small dogs. they are also nasty. my suggestion would be (and this is 100% honest)- do NOT harm the dog, however, you can pin the dog down on its back or side and bite its ear, just enough for him to yelp, but not draw blood. this will be a thing you may have to do so he knows you are boss.

Wetting is a sign of fear, did you raise your voice, a puppy responds to love an kindness, you need to praise everything she does right to give her confidence, she will want to please you and behave well.

Has she been spayed? A lot of dogs that have been can't help themselves.
