That's an excellent point and I argree with you because you're not emotional about the situation. I'm a Christian as well and while science hasn't proven the Bible, certain EVENTS that were recorded there have been scientifically tested, researched and proven such as the Great Flood, The Ark of Noah, The Parting of the Red Sea and even the distruction of Soddam and Gomorrah.
The fact of the matter is people ARE arrogant and they don't like to give up their beliefs and they don't like to admit that they could be wrong. That's why many wars are fought because of religion

A book of someones true life would need to be written while that person was still alive, or shortly after their death. Only one book of the Bible was written by someone who actually knew Jesus, and interacted with him. The other books were written at least one hundred years after his death, or written by people who did not know Jesus, but saw him in a vision. Science has not proven that the Bible and all it's stories did happen. Where is your proof of this? Science has proven that the land in which the Bible is based did exist. Any scientist with a background of the Christian Faith cannot prove anything having to do with the faith, without bias. Most scientific research that has gone into proving the happenstances of the Bible was funded by and carried out by people with a vested interest in proving the un-provable. Just like I don't believe the Tobbacco companies "Doctor" who tells me there is no link between smoking and cigarettes. What is keeping me from believing is people like yourself who do not do independent research about their own religion and spout pre-concieved notions handed to them by a preacher, or pastor. I have to think for myself. When I do think for myself, I know that the circumstances of the Bible are not true, cannot be true. And "to thine own self be true".

"Science has proven that the bible and all it's storys did happen".
See, that's why we say you're lying - because you so obviously do. What in the world would make you think that anyone would think you had even a shred of decency in you if you're going to tell such an obvious lie right in the middle of complaining about being called a liar?
You just weren't thinking when you wrote this.

Whoa!
Science has NOT proved anything to be true in the Bible!
And Religious researchers cannot agree on the events or the testaments recorded in the Bible.
If I read David Beckhams autobiography of his life, he would have contribute to the writing.
The Bible is full of THIRD hand information, written by people who believed in ghosts, horoscopes and myths and legends!
A LOT like those who frequent these pages.

The Bible is a rather large parable, and not much more. Science has done little of nothing to prove the stories of the Bible, but much to disprove. You should recheck your information. They can prove some things *could* have happened, or that events that were similar occurred that weren't of biblical proportions. In essence, the Bible is like the "tall tales" of modern days. Even if a story is based in fact, it tends to get "larger" each time that it's retold. This explains much of the imagery of the Bible.

What are you talking about?
The bible is a 2000 year old book written with the express purpose of creating and supporting a RELIGION and so is full of nothing but propaganda and lies to support that.
As for reading about a modern persons life... why do you think I believe in it? Its just as full of propaganda. The difference is that at least modern books admit they're for entertainment.

"Then why is it when someone reads a book of someones true life, people don't say thats a lie. But when someone speaks of the bible they say it's not true."
Because a "book of someone's true life" doesn't usually contain talking animals, a virgin birth, people living to be hundreds of years old, supernatural claims, "miracles", someone "created from a rib", and not to mention glaring contradictions.

"if" the Bible was true to these people, then they would have to be accountable to its truth. These people can't afford to change their lifestyle to accomodate the Bible, so they discredit it.
It gives some the excuse to keep their ways.

Faith in God comes from God himself. Flesh and blood cannot reveal to a person God, but only God can call a person. If we pray and repent of our sins, accpet Jesus, then God will reveal himself to the person.
