Very true. I have been eating oatmeal every morning and at night for a snack. Helps you feel full so I dont have to snack on junk during the day. Fiber intake is great. My chol is down. Blood pressure is at a great level too. I suggest toasting oats in oven about 5-10 minutes, sprinkle on yogurt. I have been managing my weight loss of 50 lbs for four years now

People have claimed to lose weight after eating nothing but Happy Meals too.

You need to learn to eat in a way that your weight stays at a healthy level. Even if oats (or Happy Meals, or whatever) do produce weight loss, this is not a healthy long-term diet, and you can't live like that. The minute you go off of your oat diet, the weight would all come back because you never learned to eat properly.

I don't know about loosing weight by eating oats but oats has a lot of soluble fiber in it and it helps reduce your cholesterol. I assume you are not talking about eating nothing but oats.

Typically if you are eating oats/grains you are eating healthier. Thus, you are probably loosing weight. Also, oats and grains are full of fiber--eliminations also cause weight loss.

Oats are a good source of lowering your cholesterol and would probably do well in helping maintain a healthy weight as long as they weren't loaded with butter and sugar.
