I reckon capitalism is more likely to bring us to the end, because it manipulates everything to it's own ends, which is making money. We are all turned against each other and jerked this way and that for the sake of the mighty dollar. We are silly enough to buy newspapers that vilify people because we like to see them with "egg on their faces" or worse, and it's just because we all have this problem of feeling inadequate which plays into the moneymakers hands. The media are the worst offenders, but anyone can play the game. However it isn't really a game and it will destroy the whole world if we don't get wise. We need to introduce some laws to limit unrestrained profiteering. There should be limits on what anyone can accumulate. Then these money men would have to stop stomping round the world destroying other cultures. Unfortunately we can't eliminate money altogether as it's what enables us to keep our communities going, but reducing the amounts these misguided megalomaniacs amass would start to bring some sanity back to the world.

This is definately the end times.
However, reading the Word of God shows us a great deal.
There is supposed to be the reign of the Antichrist for seven years, with the rapture of the church proceeding, during or after it, depending on your school of thought on the subject.
Then, the Devil, the whore and the Antichrist are bound up for 1000 years, when Jesus and God rule on earth.
Then, Satan, the whore and the Antichrist are released for a time to do more damage on earth.
Finally, they are bound and thrown into the lake of fire which is the time when we have the final Judgement, when all of the people are ultimately judged and those that died during the age of innocence can decide if they want Jesus as their Savior (this may actually happen during the1000 years).
Then, those that haven't accepted Jesus as their Savior are judged and cast into the lake of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Then comes the new Heaven and new Earth. However, I don't believe that the Earth is destroyed, per se. When God and Jesus come to Earth, by setting foot on the Earth, there is a great earthquake that levels everything.
So in answer, yes, we are in the end times. But, there is a great deal more on its way than the 'final battle' known as Armegeddon.

Saddam Hussein's hanging was not one of the items in the Olivet Discourse (the discussion that Jesus had with His disciples on the Mount of Olives regarding the end of the age and the signs of His return). Weather changes... perhaps. The Revelation of John speaks of one third of the green grass and trees being burnt up, which could happen if it gets too hot and dry.

There will be no end of the earth, just life as you know it. You may never even see the "End of Days". The time is close for I and many others believe Christ is among us now, observing and judging the "Upright Souls". He brings the end of days and the new Kingdom on earth. Live well....

Saddam's hanging is an Iraqi court order.
The weather changes are global warming caused by CO2 emissions.
We're not at the end of the world. Not until the Artic and Antarctic Ice Plates melt. So, we're safe for about 75 years.

Evil dictators have been dying for thousands of years. There has been war since time out of mind. The weather has been odd for thousands of years. Christians have been persecuted for hundreds of years. I seriously doubt that anything happening now is bad.

no. it's like every other "sign" that has happened in the past and yet the world kept turning. when the end comes, i have a feeling it will come so fast we won't even have time for the shock of it coming to wear off.

Peace!
Don't worry about the end of the world. Don't even think about it. Just be sure Jesus will accept you when he comes in glory with all his angels.
