Get busy living and enjoying your life. It is a good 6 months before summer, perhaps you will meet someone else in the meantime. Don't live your life waiting around under the misconception that he will be available next summer either. If you are both available and the chemistry is there, you are fortunate. Summer romances generally don't last beyond the season. If he was so keen on you, he would have visited over the holidays and would have sent you cards, email, presents...he hasn't done anything like that. Accept it for what it is, a summer romance.
