No. Head of household requires that you have a dependent living with you and are paying more than half of the expenses of maintaining the household, or have a dependent parent and are paying more than half of the cost of supporting them. A dependent parent doesn't necessarily have to live with you to qualify you for head of household. With dependents who live with you, only if they are on a particular list of degree of relatives that the IRS has do they qualify you to claim head of household - there are a number of people who could be dependents, but you still couldn't claim head of household.

No, you can not claim head of household without dependents. Head of household means that you are supporting minor children or a relative is living in your residence.
