Well, I realize now that I should have been more detailed, despite the majority of morons that have such shallow empty lives, that they would derive happiness from anothers families worry-filled days & nights, about a long term family companion. Our dog, was a christmas present to my 4 year old daughter 14 years ago, and is a big part of our family. May you all get what you have coming, and you wil.
Now:
I do realize that pets do die, lord knows I have witnessed about 50 Oscars, etc. overeat themselves to death, over the years, while I tended to our 250 gallon aquarium!

Wehave of course, taken him to the vet, and they were not very informative, other than we have to wait for the results of diabetes tests, and others, including bloodwork.

In the mean time, I truely was looking here for a friendly word or two. And I thank the few who did answer honestly, and with thier heart and mind. God be with you. I was trying to forsee if I could, what we might be up against,

Thanks, Mike

I cannot believe how many dumb people answered this question. It is most likely not rabies, or a "twisted stomach." Your dog would be dead. Take your dog to the vet, don't guess about what could be wrong. It could be anything- the only was to find out is to bring him to a veterinarian . He gave you 13 loyal years, you owe him proper care. And don't wait! Vomiting can cause dehydration.

my cat did this and the vet said it was conjestive heart failure. If he is that old, that would be the most likely cause. Take him to the vet right away. I don't know how long he had this foamy vomit, but it could be over pretty soon. I know this is a horrible thing to think about, but he is really old. He could either go in his sleep(my cat did) or (sorry, this is so horrible) they can choak to death(all that foamy stuff collecting in the lungs).

yes, take him to the vets, but, many older dogs will do this if they are fed too far apart during the day. it's stomach acid. My older Lab started doing it so I started feeding her 3 times a day instead of 2 (same amount of food, just divided it up). It helped a lot to keep the acid down in her stomach.

It means you've gotta take it to the vet to have the dog looked at, and to be given a large vets bill.

Could be a twisted stomach judging by a very, very quick glance at this page I found http://home.flash.net/~jdebess/

Upset stomach, why could be any one of 100 reasons. An exam and blood work is needed to find out why.

13 x 7 is the age of your dog. What do figure at that age? Possibly a lung infection. Sounds like the humane thing to do is put out of misery time.
