Hometown? The city where I live right now?
I've been in this town for nearly five months. It's called Fort Nelson, and I work for the Ministry of Forests and Range of British Columbia.
There are about 4,500 people in this town. The "night life" (anything between 5pm and 9pm) is the two bars downtown (which means, down the only big street). After 9 pm, all the fun to be had is reading books and logging on to the Internet. By the way, it is always so dark one has to use artificial light at noon. I'm missing real daylight.
I'm here to take samples from the local forest and eventually analyze them for contamination (metals, mostly Hg). This place is mostly a stopover for trucks going to Alaska. I don't think I can hold a rational conversation with most of the people here, and I'm not into bar fights, so I keep to myself.
In short, I'm bored sick, but I get paid well for it.

Hello, my hometown is Bourgas at the Black Sea coast, but I've been living in Sofia for quite a while now. Bourgas is the place I always love to go back to. It has a population of about 250 000 people and a great sea coast garden. It is very conservative and yet very open as we've always had lots of foreigners visiting. The place is nice and relaxed. The local ritual is to loiter along the main street until you get to the terrace of the sea coast garden overlooking the sea. There you stay for a while watching the horizon bend to shape the Earth and then go away ... to a pub, or somewhere else. Because everyone is doing this, you get to meet people you know every time - in fact this why you are doing it.
I wish you somebody finds you :)

Well, the town I was born in is a mining town in Lancashire called St Helens, the town has a population of about 300,000 people, and has the best Rugby League team in Britain, we also share a strong and healthy rivalry with the Wigan Warriors.
My home town was burned down by the Yorkists during the War of the Roses, and the Queens Lancashire Regiment was based not too far from here.
This is also the town which had the recent Pittbull attack on that young 5 year old. The town is also famous for not just a world class Rugby League team, but also for Glass.

Hello, Irish.
My hometown is Los Angeles.
I like a lot of things about it, but Ireland is lovely, too.
Why are you lost?

Its not so nice to look at but I like living here. Oh apart from my upstairs neighbour has a very energetic love life (revolving door policy) and keeps that headboard up against the wall - nice
