My wife's friend was in a minor accident, but the airbags deployed, hitting her in the chest, and caused severe damage to her ribs, knocked the wind out of her bad, they rushed her to the hospital, with moderate injuries, from the airbag. Now my wife is scared to death of airbags. My wife and her friend are both just over 100 lbs, and are about 5'3". She makes me turn the air bags off when she rides with me.

Yes. My chest and pelvic area were bruised. Deep bruises that took weeks to heal. Painful, too.
