Well the joke i made WAS a hit below the belt but that doesn't give him the right to hit me. So when we got to the truck i smacked my hubby & told him it is TIME to teach his son some respect. and that if our son hit me again i was gonna smack them both.

hes got a sick sense of humor, but i don't think hes going to be chauvinistic. you were exchanging playful banter and you got your feelings hurt.

well what can I say with a dad like that and a mom like that you will get a child like that... look I would think that the real question here is why you have allowed him to get that big and that mean in the first place. he has to get a handle on the basic Idea that the pain that is felt by another person is still pain and that is all that is important to the facts... I may one day get the right to defend my right to be the dad but if my son pulled that crap he would have felt a sudden sharp stinging in his hind parts from his dads hand.

Sounds like the three of you need counseling. A child of any age kicking or hitting a parent should never be tolerated. If he did it in public, he has no fear of retribution. And YES he is already a chauvinist and daddy is leading the pack

Ever think that he is doing it because he knows he can get a rise out of you? What do you intend to tell him when he is the one being picked on? I was always told that if you ignore them, they lose interest and stop (or go bother someone else). And it works. You are playing into his hands!

from this snippit I would say that your husband has a lot to do with the lack of respect for women. I don't know how I would handle the situation. I know myself would leave both of them. I know it's your son, but if he disrespects you that much his father can take care of him.

Like father like son. Maybe you can help him, but it sounds as if they're both too far gone.

I'd smack the crap out of that little brat and show him who's boss.

My advice to you is one beat him while he is still young,And let him cook his own food and do his own clothes for awhile things will change.
