You should wash him with some dish detergent. Dawn or any degreasing dish soap will work. Dilute the soap 1/2 water, 1/2 soap and wash him. Make sure to rinse him well so that he doesn't get all flaky. That will work.

well just wash it out and then if there is still a little bit in there call your friend and askif she can be around peanut butter and not have an allergic reaction.

if she has a reation when she smells it then ask her not to come but if she is fine then everything else will be.

if that doesnt work then shave the area. the dog will be fine.

Have you ever considered giving him a really good bath and making that you DO get all of the peanut butter out of his hair good so that she can pet him, and I think that it's sweet that you are throughing a birthday party for your dog.

First, I'll say that I'm amazed that you're throwing a birthday party for your dog. That's insane!

Second, if you've cleaned it out, there should be no problem. Most people that are allergic to peanuts and peanut butter actually have to INGEST it to suffer any ill effects.

I'd wash it with dish soap since it cuts grease the best. Then offer your friend the choice of her not coming, or shut the dog in the bedroom.

Use a razor or electric haircutter to cut the hair away.

Or have it put down, though you should use that as a last resort...
