There are hundreds, if not thousands, of matches who could qualify as your "soul mate." One of the most destructive legends in our culture is the myth of the soul mate. "What happens if I don't find them?" "What happens if I marry someone else and then find them?" "What happens if I find them and they are married to someone else?" "What happens if I never find them?" All this is a wonderful collection of neuroses.
There will always be another you could have chosen. The soul mate myth ruins marriages and relationships. Eventually, we all are let down in one way or another by someone we love. It happens, get over it. This is not the end of the world. It doesn't mean that you missed you soul mate or made a bad relationship decision.
There is no one out there who can read your mind and complete everything about you. Good relationships take hard work and commitment and in the big picture produce more joy than grief. Your part is to bring as whole and complete and emotionally balanced a person to the relationship as possible. You get what you need from a relationship by communicating in a sensitive and caring way what your needs are and listening to your partners needs and working out ways to provide for each other. It's not magic. Some people have more talent at doing it than others, but everyone can learn.

I'm sorry to say madame that the whole soulmate thing is not true. There could be many people out there who are suitably matched to you. There is no one person who is just right for someone. I mean if there were there'd be alot of questions. For example if two people are placed on this earth and they are lucky enough to find eachother but one of them gets struck by lightening then what? Or if then the one left finds someone new is that the person they are supposed to be with or was it the first? And then if the two of them were walking side by side and they just happened to choose the first one first but then shouldn't the second one have been first? So even if the whole soul mate thing does exist you can never really be sure you have found them. But to answer your question I am neutral I believe that there could possibly be one perfect match for everybdoy but then I can't leave out the possibility that there are more than one persons who I would find compatible with.

A good man tries to make whoever he is with his soulmate, whereas many women like to imagine the "perfect man" for their soul mate.

I've got mine! She actually understands me -- or at least fakes it really well. As a guy, I don't think I've ever really discussed "Love" with anyone. I talk about aviation, antique aircraft, history, NASCAR and politics.. Love? What's to talk about? I think about "stupid" stuff. Like, on today's date in 1916, both Max Immelmann and Oswalde Boelke were awarded the Le Poure d' Merit (The Blue Max). As a woman, are you the least bit interested? I doubt it.

As you mature, you will learn that there is no "one". There is the one that you make your "one."
