OH NO PLEASE PLEASE DON'T FEEL THAT WAY!!! What's more important to your kids-- you or stuff? I know it sounds terrifying, but how about declaring bankruptcy? If your debt is really that high then there are places you can turn to do this. It'll suck at first, but you know what? That hardship will pass and you'll be free and clear (no platinum credit cards, of course, but who cares? They're probably part of the reason you're where you're at.) Or you can try a debt consolidation company, like the lending tree. If they can't help you, I'm sure they will point you in a good direction.Remember you're blessed. You have two kids who love you and your question broke my heart. People care about you, not your financial situation. Don't despair - happiness will be waiting right around the corner. If you need a friend to talk to I'm a single mom having a hard time, too. Find me at loveanabanana@yahoo.com. Take care.

It sounds like a very difficult situation you are in. My heart goes out to you. Something that is helping my husband and I is going through Dave Ramsey's plan, The Total Money Makeover. I highly recommend it. You can go to his website www.daveramsey.com. He makes a lot of sense and provides a clear plan to help you get out of debt.

I wish you the best. Hang in there!

Please go see a reputable credit counselor, who can assist you with preparing a repayment plan, working with creditors, or steering you to bankruptcy if appropriate.

It's better to have an action plan of some type with the help of someone who knows what they are doing, than living in misery.

I've linked to where you can get a referral to one of these counselors. They won't rip you off like those guys you see on TV.

Good luck.

Why not refinance and payoff your debts; perhaps settling on them for 50 cents on the dollar as well if you are behind on the debt.

Speak to a credit counselor, he would be able to advise and get rid of your debts.
