Why should we? We are not commanded to have beards. Why would we want to look like a Muslim?

Jesus was a bearded man.We know this because the old Law forbade shaving the sidburns and chin.Jesus was a Jew so he was required to keep this Law. The reason that muslims today and Jews dont shave their beards is because they dont believe Jesus was the messiah. They believe the Old Law is still in effect. The first 5 books of the old testament and the quaran are identical.which was the books of moses and the Law.

Beards are purely aesthetic. I don't believe Jesus ever condemned wearing beards, but He didn't ordain it either. I think most Christians do not have beards because of the influence of ancient Rome. It's the same reason Christians have only one wife, even though the Bible allows Christians to be polygamous. Roman law forbade polygamy. The same goes for short hair.

The commandment : Thou shalt not mar the corner of thy beard" was a law given to the Hebrews under the Mosaic covenant.
Believers are under the Brit Khadishah, or the New Covenant which has to do with the heart and not the outer appearance.

Some also believe that believers should not have long hair or cover their head because:
:
1 Cor 11:14
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

Nature teaches me that a male lion has a long haired mane.
But what they fail to do is to look at the whole context and to go 2 verses down:
:
1 Cor 11:16
But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
But...

Rom 7:22
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man

1 Sam 16:7
for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

It's not true that Muslim keep beard as a moral requirement, specially in Europe or USA. It has nothing to do with morality so it's a matter of choice.
Christian are more willing to imitate Jesus in character than in look.

You can have a beard if you want. There is no commandment to keep a beard. But as a woman I know that a man who has a beard looks alot older and less attractive.

A beard is a personal choice, having a beard is not a requirement to be Christan. I work with and know a lot of Muslims and they don't have beards.

Maybe they want to have their own style in stead of modleing the beard of someone else. Cause I dont know why Muslims have long beards anyways cause if it's just to modle Muhammad then thats kinda odd unless there is some meaning behind it that I dont know.

The clean-shaven look became the western world's version of conservative right around World War 1, because soldiers had to shave in-order for their gas masks to work properly.

It's a cultural thing.
