Aside from what the politicians think, and how they think they can win the war in Iraq, how do YOU think this war can be won? Here is your chance to tell the world (even the President) how this war can be won. Obviously, you must take into account our current state of affairs, including all the lives that have already been lost and the potential for more lives to be lost. This question is for a military solution alone. I will post a separate question for a political solution, if there could be one.

There is no political solution as polotics have already worstened the status of the war. The best strategy which would not only be effective but easy to initiate is when you seem a dam munition dump, blow em up. We marched all the way through Iraq with our heads up high passed countless munition dumps and left them there for Iraq to use. So now we are getting attacked by weapons we could have dismantled. So lets not make the same mistake twice. God bless the Troops. Soldier, Sailors, Airmen and Marines.

I agree w/ Luiz. We MUST take the gloves off over there. The USA can and must win the war on terrorism. We have no other choice. To let terrorist win would send the wrong message to the rest of the world and to the terrorist. It will be a long fight (probably decades) but once we've killed enough terrorist, they will get the message. The leaders of the so called "peace loving" Muslims could do their part and condone terrorism but they won't because most of them agree with the terrorist and their agenda. I believe that there are good Muslims who don't agree with what the fanatical ones want to do. I just wish that the good ones would take a stand against terrorism.

My solution would to close the borders with Syria and Iran to stop them from sending insurgents into iraq. The 82nd airbourne should land near the borders and stay for 3 months.
Baghdad would be on lockdown for 3 days and US troops raid every house in baghdad.
Us troops should syat out of Al Anbar province and make huge perimeter limiting exit and entry to the province. Attacking Iran could be a option but diplomatic discussions not military involvement would be the answer. Air strikes in to Iran on to places the produce weapons that harm US Troops. Russia should send 30,000 soldiers to Fallugah and Us troops in fallugah move to hotspots or go home!
