Okay! So you don't hate something that doesn't exist. I got it. But I still wonder why you say we push it down your throat. You didn't have to answer the question did you? No, you chose to answer it, and I get your point. My beliefs are different than yours but that doesn't mean that all Christians shove it down atheists throats.
That is an error in thinking because it's a generalization. I didn't try to shove it down your throat, I just wanted to see your opinions.

They don't hate God I just think they don't understand. It is easy to put down thing you don't know about and also you are correct when you said that he loves us. But don't get offended when they talk badly or put us down just pray for them.

I don't think that people hate the Christian interpretation of God so much as they disagree with the very nature of Christianity itself. Let's face it (I'm a Christian as well) our religion is very exclusive and in a way is one of the most contradictory (eg. preaching forgiveness but having a hell where you burn for all eternity). That's why we push the notion of faith more than any other religion because face it, it's pretty hard to swallow.
And I don't feel that complaining about how much people "hate" your views is gonna win any souls for the kingdom. Believe what you believe and let others have they views as well. You'll convince more people to share your opinion by staying true to it and setting an example that they can follow instead of arguing about right or wrong.

Not everyone hates Christians or Christianity.

Just because someone dislikes the Christian religion, that does not mean they hate God. They just believe differently.

That said, most people who do dislike Christianity do not like being preached to or the attempts at conversion. Some Christians display a judgemental and condescending attitude, which earns them no points. Luckily, not all are like that.

Some people will not except the truth and will get made at you b/c you believe. Isn't it amazing that they are always talking about how we don't show love when we are telling them about the consequences of sin but they are so full of hatred towards Christians. Don't worry they will have to answer for there actions 1 day and lets see if they provide God with the answers they provide here.

I hate only certain types of Christians, those who misuse the "word of God" to do whatever they want, to sanctify prejudice and immorality, and those who judge everyone non-Christian as some sort of vile heathen.

I don't have love or hate for your God. He seemed to have a wonderful message that immoral and vile zealots and manipulators turned to their own reasoning. I know many people who are Christian and very good at doing what the religion is about (being kind, nice, and gracious) and they are some of my best friends. I also have known those who threatened to beat up a Buddhist because he believed in reincarnation instead of Heaven and those who use "God's Love" to keep homosexuals from having equal rights. Those are the "Christians" I pity.

As long as no one of any religion tries to convert me, I'm usually fine with whatever they believe. I am not an atheist (and, honestly, those atheists who deem all religions wastes of time and "illogical" are worse than many preaching religion. Religion needn't be illogical) myself, and I do believe there IS a God, I just don't believe IN him.

I don't hate something that does not exist. The question makes no sense to an Atheist...And I don't hate christians either...I just wish you guys would educate yourself and pay attention to reality but its a hard thing to do when you have had it pushed on you since your youth. Trust me I used to eat breath sleep Christianity until I took a step back and realized people all over the world have as much faith in what they believe as I did in God and Jesus...this blew my mind. So I began to study and research all aspects of the religion from an un biased point of view

I admit, I do not like Christianity. But I also do not hate your god. He just isn't part of my pantheon.

We are not all sinners, in my religion there is no such thing as sin. I do not need your god to forgive me of anything. Understand?

I have no hatred for Christianity. I do not hate God, in fact I believe in God. I respect your beliefs. When you try to cram what you believe down my throat (and I'm not saying YOU do, but I have known "Christians" who do, in fact I have lost them as friends over this) that's where it ends. My relationship (or lack thereof) with God is MY business. Period. I do not need "saving" from you. I have my own mind, my own beliefs. I can have a relationship with God without your help. If you can accept this, I have no problem with you. If you can't, well now you know why we act like we do.

hmm... I myself am a Christian, but if i were an Atheist I think I wouldn't believe in God because I've been convinced that what I've been doing my whole life is correct. Most people in America are very prideful and talk other people down to make themselves feel better. If you want better info I would suggest asking an Atheist.

Christians, if they are true followers of Christ are not really the persons being treated so badly. It is Christ in them that the world hates.

However, there are those wolves in sheep's clothing who wear the cloak of Christianity and misrepresent Christ and give him a bad name in the eyes of those still searching. In this case, when the world expresses their hate for this false Christ, it is really a hate for the sinner who is misrepresenting the Savior to the world.
