It depends on your definition of "sex". Male turkeys do not have a penis that is inserted in the hen. What they do is spray sperm out of their vent on to the hens vent. Then the sperm swims into the hens vent and up to her egg. I think this is what may have confused someone and caused you to think they can have chicks without sex.

Hello..... They have got to mate (have sex) to reproduce (make the eggs fertile). If you have the female and the male seperated they cannot reproduce, unless you are going to artificially inseminate the turkey hen! Duh!

I think there were studies done in which theoretically it is possible but I'm not sure if they succeeded.Have a great year.
