I've been dating this girl for about 3-4 months now, but she keeps thinking that I'm cheating on her.
I have a really good friend that i've known for 2 years and she just happens to be a girl... My girlfriend is upset that I talk to her and I said I was going to hang out with her, but my girlfriend accused me of cheating and stuff like that. She knows that I used to like this girl and this girl used to like me, but nothing happened and it never will. I can't seem to convince her Im just friends with this girl and it's getting irritating.
My girlfriend got really hurt by some of her old friends that basically turned on her and stole her boyfriend and now they treat her like crap, so I understand why she's so insecure because she thinks this girl is trying to steal me from her. Also, she doesn't even know her but she says she hates her and she can't believe I'm letting her steal me. It doesn't matter what I say it never works. Does anyone have ideas on how to handle this? Cuz i'm out.

tell her to either trust you or let go on the other hand how would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot? Why can't your girlfriend come along with you guys?

I have the same problem with my ex-. I had these 2 friends, both i knew for 4 years but my ex didn't beilieve me and that caused distrust in our love.
Now you say after this thing happened between u girlfriend and her friend now she doesn't beilieve. I think theres only one way, maybe two.
The first is to let go of your friend becuase your girlfriend has this experince that will remind her of what could happen to her in the future. Her brain will recall that experince for a long period of time.
The second is to dish out alot of things, such as a scary movie or such, to create the image in her mind that your truly love her and demolish the thought of your friend trying to take you from her. Do something remakrably romantic that your girfriend would never thought you both would do together, in other words, show her that you are not lying and that will also produce a stronger trust as for she will see that you can be trusted in situations such as this.

You should spend more time with your girl and show her who matters most. If you're gonna hang with your friend invite her to join you AND your girlfriend, not alone. When you get older you'll understand this better. Your "friend"should understand this cuz if she had a boyfriend I doubt he'd allow you to hang out alone with her.
And try to think about this from your gf's perspective...

Well you should invite your girlfriend to go with you to hang out with her everyone once in a while. I had to do the same thing my boyfriends best friend is a girl and once we all hung out together I had no problem with them hanging out alone.

That happened to me too..... except the girl FRIEND was a nudist and we used to go to the nude beach together. But we never had a romantic interlude, only ever just strictly friends.
I didn't budge.....I don't think a relationship built on mistrust is worth having, so I told her I would do my best to work around her feelings, but I would not punish myself or my friend for doing nothing criminal. We worked it out....she became my #1 beach buddy, learned to trust me more, etc.
We just got married last July.
My friend is engaged this past New Years.

Yes from an older person. You have to stop hanging with your friend for awhile until your gf develops trust in u. This is a new relationship so she is very insecure which is normal. You have to give her time.So u have to contemplate which one is more important to u in your life right now.Good luck

You have to make your girlfriend secure with your friendship. Let her feel like that she is the only one for you. There must be balance you can not spend more time with your friend than with your girlfriend. Let your friend know that you do have a girlfriend that you care about and ask her to respect that. Also let your girlfriend know she can not be inscure with herself. A relationship must have RESPECT, TRUST, UNDERSTANDING, AND COMMUNICATION, other wise there is no relationship.

1 its never good to have lak of trust in a relation ship believe me i should know . but if u say dat ur friend is exactlly wut she is a freind den invite ur girl 2 go out wit u guys 2 if ur girl refuses then i guess u have a really difficult choice to make ur girl or ur freind .... if u dunt wanna take her then u guys should jus break up cuz then that means u care about ur freind in a different way then ur willing to admit to ur gf n ur self . if ur freind disagrees then u need to make it clear 2 her that ur gf feels uncomfortable with the situation .... hopefuuly if shes a freind she will understand ... remeber if theres nothin goin on then u got nuttin 2 hide . good luck

Maybe invite her along to whenever you hang out with this girl? Then she could perhaps get comfortable around your girl friend and trust you more - since you are showing her you two have nothing to hide.
