Help to stop blushing?

Question

Okay so lets say im in class, and the teacher calls on me, bam there ya go im heart beat red and cant stop it... i mean really... it gets me so mad when that happens to me.. i was wondering if maybe i started to talk to more people and be the attention of the class (still blushing) but eventually it will stop because i will get use to being the attention and i will stop blushing right?

If anyone says anything, just say it's a natural response to pressure. Your brain is a high-powered device that needs a LOT of fuel to run efficiently, and it gets that fuel from the blood. So, since the brain in your head needs so much blood, your face goes red.

That will break the tension enough that you can go back to doing whatever it was you were supposed to do. Plus people will probably laugh, and their faces will go red too. Then they can't poke fun at you about it. ;-)

I have the same problem... if I'm in a situation where I know the attention is going to be focused on me and I get called upon by surprise... my face just goes sooo red! I hate it! Im in my 20s and it still happens... so what I try to do is just be more confident. I guess I'm a shy person in some ways and feel very self conscious in certain social times. I dont really know how to stop it though! Good luck

I think you're right Robert. The blushing is involuntary, caused by your feelings and brought about by your sympathetic nervous system. Change the feelings and the response changes also.

Yeah thats a good idea . try it.
Try breathing in a controlled way, fake that youre not embarrassed and eventually you wont be
