Yes, it is too soon, in my opinion. You should know someone for at least a year before making a comittment like that, and probably two years. It would not be unreasonable to do a promise ring kind of thing, but engagement is serious business, and you shouldn't go into that without careful consideration. At this point you guys could be blinded by the "honeymoon" stage (although there is also a possiblity that you are completely right for each other). I'd advise you to get past the honeymoon and get to know each other better. Some things just come with time. That said, Good luck!

I think it is too soon. I would guess that others who have said that it isn't are very young and/or have not been married. There is no way you can really know someone in a few months. You will have known him for less than a year when you get married.
Sure, sometimes relationships work out when the couple has only known each other for a short time, but if you look at the divorce rate, the chances of it working out are not very good.
If you are under the age of 25, I would definitely wait to get married and no matter your age, I would not marry a guy until I knew him at least 2 years. What's the hurry anyway?

Not to early, True love don't have a clock on it. Be engaged for awhile and learn each other. And if it works marry him and if it don't brake off the engagement. Follow your heart and your first mind.

P.S. Anything he dose that gets on your nerves see do you want to live with that for the rest of your life.

If it feels right do it. I met the love of my life in March 1960, got engaged in May, and married him in Oct. 1960 never regretted it, and had 42 wonderful years, until I lost him to cancer in 2003. So my advise go for it, my very best wishes to you on your up coming marriage, may you always be in love as much as you are today.

Do you FEEL ready to get married? If you do, then go for it. If you feel you're being pressured to by your fiance, then wait. You can stay engaged, you just don't have to actually get married until later.
