I'm not gonna ask her best friend out, I'm gonna ask her if she knows if I have a chance witht the girl I like. good idea, bad idea, advice?

BAD IDEA!! Because how do you know that the best friend isn't attracted to you and might try to get you first. If you want to know if you got a chance or not, it is best to be straight-forward and ask that person yourself. Never beat around the bush. Don't act shy but yet and still don't be cocky with it.

Well, its good or bad. If you ask her friend, that friend might go and tell the girl u like which is kinda good, as for the girl u like might like you.
The bad side is that the friend might lie or tell you that the girl you like is alreayd going out...u got to be more specific if u want good answers...

Why don't you just ask the girl? The worst she could say is yes. Then just leave it at that and stay friends with her.

just be friiends with the girl and ask her if she wants to go to the pictures or somewhere nice if she says not leave her be. someone else will want you
