You'll have to go to a professional and have it chemically stripped, then dyed to the color of your choosing, but your hair will be very dry afterwards.

Black dye is the hardest to remove. If you try to do this yourself you will have orange hair. Trust me, my daughter did this. I believe your best bet is to go to a hairstylist and probably start changing the color gradually. Like first go to medium brown, then light brown, then try going blonde. I don't think a good stylist would recommend going blonde with the black on unless they use a color remover before, but I don't know what type of damage this would cause. Ask a GOOD stylist.

well since you've repeatedly dyed it black, it's more stuck in your hair, and it'll be harder for you do dye it a lighter color, and the first try is probably not going to work. Either dye your hair blonde/reddish several times, or wait till some of the black dyed hair to grow out and then try dying it blondish/reddish a couple of times. the best thing to do is probably wait till your old hair grows out a little bit, or it'll be kind of unhealthy for your hair.

first of all...never, never, never lighten your hair on your own. do not bleach it on your own. you need to go to a salon, have them strip it and colour it lighter for you. in terms of going blonde right now, i am not sure. you maybe able to get it to a light brown with a red tint in it.
few things you need to keep in mind is that you cannot strip it or recolour for at least 6 weeks between colourings. also, if you home coloured your hair, it will make it harder to strip.
a good hair colourist can look at the condition of your hair and tell you what they can really do with it. they can give you options and even a plan to get to your desired hair colour but it may take time.

not blond, it will have to be a pretty intense red, do matter how much you bleach it, because of the black dye, the lightest your hair is going to get is a weird orange, even metalex color remover isn't going to get that out

Well if you go to your local hair store or barbershop ask them about a gel that when you put it on it turns red. It will only last long enough until you take a shower.
