You should definately NOT answer your phone while you're in the CAN!!! Just think about all of the nasty germs and bacteria which you are spreading to your most common daily tool, and that tool is right next to your MOUTH!!! Yuck!

Also, would you want to call someone in the bathroom?

No, and here's why - According to Man Code (and this can work for all sexes because it makes sense), the only time it is acceptable to talk to someone while in the bathroom is if you are on equal footing (i.e. both peeing, in stalls, washing hands, etc.). The chances of them calling you from the bathroom, and doing the same thing as yourself, is very slim, therefore in violation.
There is also the comfort level for those around you. Has this ever happened to you:
You're standing at a urinal. You leave the proper buffer zone, and another guy walks in. He sees the buffer, respects it, but then proceeds to start talking. You're generally taken aback some unless it is passing conversation, but it's not. It's about business, or even worse, a conversation with their wife about last night or other personal business, however; you don't know they're talking on the phone because of the earpieces, so you respond back. He's apalled that you're listening in on his conversation, you're embarrased that you thought he was talking to you, and everyone leaves unhappy.
All this could have been avoided by waiting an extra 2-3? minutes to either answer or make that call. So the short answer is no. It is an uncomfortable situation for many parties involved, especially if the one on the other end doesn't know you're in the bathroom till they hear the flush!

It really depends who it is and if there are any other people in the restroom. If there are, I hesitate to pick up. I will just call them back when I am out of the restroom. It really has to be something I think is important to answer the phone.

I did it once, I don't know what I was thinking but it was my husband. The minute I said hello I realized where I was and hung up on him.

It is defiantly no acceptable to answer your phone in the restroom!!

I only use my mobile phone for emergence's.

I feel the world is too obsessed with the fact of keeping in contact with everyone all at once, no time to think or pee.

If my mobile goes off, i would check the number, if its my Partner, mother, brother i would answer and say i would call them back.
if its anyone else.. i would let it go.

I don't see any harm in it. In fact its a lot better to stem into the rest room then to bother everyone else in the restaurant or club with you on the phone ! Also sometime you may need to step somewhere that's quiet and that's the Easiest to get to

Definitely okay. It is better than in the restaurant, store, bar itself. Make it a short conversation though, it's annoying to hear someone else's conversation - especially doing number 2! If you're alone, who cares.
